During Term 3, Foundation students have been completing a unit of work on portraiture in the art room. As part of this learning, we are holding a CNPS Young Archies Award (similar to the Archibald Prize). Students’ portraits will be on display in the school hall from August 13 onwards, and two prizes will be awarded: one given out by the school leadership team, and the other awarded by the school public as a ‘People’s Choice’ award.
We would love you to make a time to visit our exhibition and vote for a portrait that catches your eye! This year, the voting will be done online through our Visual Arts blog to support our school’s sustainability initiatives. More details will be available at the exhibition. The students have been working very hard and have produced some beautiful artworks. The winners will be announced in several weeks’ time at assembly, and featured on the school’s Visual Arts blog.
Thanks to the Foundation teachers for their support, Mrs Roberts for her help in typing up the captions to accompany the artworks, and the parent helpers who have helped with mounting and displaying our exhibition.
We hope to see you at the exhibition!
