A Barrel of Funds
The P&F’s fundraising initiatives in 2019 generated $45,000 for the school, which is an outstanding effort given the constraints the building project imposed on activities. For example, having no kitchen for much of the year hampered the ability to run special lunches.
Standout events were the Trivia Night and Plants for Playgrounds which raised around $9000 each, so a huge thank you to everyone who contributed – far too many to name here. The Bunnings sausage sizzle and cake stall was another highlight, raising almost $3300.
In recent developments, the Children’s Artwork fundraiser brought in $2600 and the Mango Drive $1400. A huge thank you to Meredith Dimsey and Jenny Dun respectively for their sterling efforts on these events.
And thank you to all the parents and carers who helped in some way this year. Without such a giving school community, these events would simply not happen. Thank you!
Christmas Stall Goods Needed
Next Tuesday (December 17) marks the annual P&F Christmas Stall, and organisers Georgie and Justine need more goods. It could be crafts, decorations, baking or treats. If you can help, please contact Georgie at firstname.lastname@example.org or Justine at email@example.com
And remember to give the kids some money on the day, as well as to bring their own bag (to avoid more plastic waste).
A big thank you to Ginny Arndt and Vanessa Fraser for organising the Christmas hamper raffles at this week’s Christmas concert. They did a sensational job in gathering so many goods in such a short time. Thank you again!
