All students who are in our catchment zone are eligible to attend a Victorian Government school and may enrol at Coburg North Primary School. Information regarding the enrolment of overseas students can be obtained from the International Studies Unit at DET.

To start primary school your child must turn five years of age (or older) by April 30th of the year they start school.

Enrolments are welcome at all levels of the school throughout the year. We aim to ensure that all students experience a smooth transition into the school with a minimum of disruption and maximum support, and encourage all new families to visit the school before your child begins.

Tours of the school will be available during Term 2 and Term 3. Please call the school office on 93541660 to make a booking.

To enrol your child you will need the following:

- be in the designated Neighbourhood boundary

- a copy of your child's birth certificate

- immunisation status certificate

- names and addresses of the child, parents, guardians or careers

- parent's phone numbers (home, work, mobile) and email addresses

- doctor's name and contact details

- Medicare details

- Health and welfare information - for example does your child have asthma, diabetes, allergies, poor eyesight or hearing problems

- specific custody arrangements (copies of court orders are required)

- information about the language(s) your child/family speaks

You will find the enrolment form attached below. Complete the form and drop it into the school office or return by post. School staff can also provide you with an enrolment form and are happy to assist you to fill them out.

On receipt of your forms enrolment will be confirmed through a letter which also provides transition program dates and details for Foundation students.

Student Identification Number

The VSN is a student identification number that will be assigned by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development to all students in government and non-government schools, and students up to the age of 24 in Vocational Education and Training Institutions. The number, which is unique to each student, will be used as a key identifier on a student's school records, and will remain with the student throughout his or her education, until reaching the age of 25.

Please see the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority's School Administration page for more information.
